CCS has participated in stormwater management studies, private servicing studies related to rural development and planning aspects related to ground water investigations and protection. A number of our planning documents have specifically addressed the concern for maintaining the quality of ground water for municipal water supplies and private water takings. This work requires more sophisticated evaluation of ground water and water supply vulnerabilities. The risk management approach must be incorporated into land use planning. A number of our planning documents already include ground water protection policies. |
